Just like the 2013 Safety Award, Merck acknowledges it’s premier contractors for their safety performance with the West Point Site Contactor Safety Award.
To be eligible to receive this award, the contractor must first not have any incidents / accidents for that year on the Merck site. They also look for leadership and involvement in their safety programs.
Merck wants the contractors to create and lead in the safety requirements and participate in the Merck Contractor Safety Committee which reviews these Safety Procedures and requirements on site. They are looking for a partner in safety for not only that contractor, but for the safety of the other trades / contractors working around them.
